There have been many changes to the regulations for holding a .eu domain since BREXIT which say that all such domains must be registered to an EU address.
Initially all .eu domains were to be cancelled upon Britain’s official exit from the European Union in January this year, but after numerous complaints this was changed to suspended giving registrants 3 months to arrange for the change in registration address.
This has now been extended until the 30th June to “provide registrar and registrants that have not yet updated their registration data the opportunity to demonstrate their compliance with the .eu regulatory framework”. All non-compliant domains be sold off in 2022.
For those that still require their .eu domains, some Domain registrars provide an agency service, holding your domain on your behalf at an EU address.
